Red Bull Art Of Can

Apparently this competition has been around for some years (since 1997). I have never heard of it before, but it is a very cool concept by Red Bull. Basically, any one with a creative flare can enter, and the principal is to make an art piece using a can of Red Bull as the primary material. So if you have some spare time and can of Red Bull, why not give it a try?Source URL: https://unknowablejourney.blogspot.com/search/label/sculpture

Amigos do Monstro (Friends of the Monster)

This Sunday I went to Crafts & Design fair in Jardim da Estrela (Lisbon, Portugal), it's a modern crafts fair which in winter happens every first Sunday of the month. I advise anyone who has a chance to go and visit, it's a great place to buy presents for your other half, or yourself of course. Also with Christmas fast approaching its ideal to buy original gifts for your friends and family. In December the fair will take place on the first and second Sunday of the month. Anyway, here's some of the work by two artists you can find in one of the stands ---> http://www.amigos-do-monstro.blogspot.com/

These figurines are mostly made out of wood from cuttings of fruit trees in farms, so as the artists don't have to buy almost any material, they sell these fantastic figures very cheap, prices are in average between €10 and €20.

London Ink

Massive tattooed figures have recently invaded London, as part of a new ambient ad campaign by Mother. The sculptures, which have currently taken up residence by Tower Bridge and also at Victoria Station, form part of a campaign for new Discovery Real Time reality show London Ink.
The show, a UK version of the successful US show Miami Ink, is based around a tattoo parlour run by Louis Molloy, who has already had a taste of fame with his ink work for David Beckham and Kate Moss.

Rodenstock Eyewear: Giant Banana Peel

A sculpture made by the Berlin artist Stefan von Essen which looks like a giant bana peel, was set in various shopping malls. Wearing bifocal glasses by Rodenstock you can’t overlook a slippery banana peel on the street.
